Kőhalmy Hunting Museum
Located at the end of the Witch Trail in the Sopron Forest, the Kőhalmy Hunting Museum aims to showcase the natural treasures of the area, as well as its plant and animal life. The three-story wooden building primarily focuses on educating children, but adults can also gain knowledge about the natural values of their environment using interactive tools.
The basement of the building houses a screening room where films and presentations can be held. Posters and photographs on the walls depict the Sopron Forest and the nearby viewpoints.
On the ground floor, visitors can explore the flora and fauna of the forest park. The exhibition is enriched with images and photographs. Computers and displays assist in providing information to visitors.
The top floor of the building showcases the wildlife of the area and the legacy of Tamás Kőhalmy. Among the legacy items are the personal belongings of the forest engineer, wildlife biologist professor, including his former desk, typewriter, trophies, notes, and specialized books.
