Mörbisch am See

Mörbisch am See

Located on the shores of Lake Neusiedl, the small town of Mörbisch am See, with a population of a few thousand, is best known today for hosting one of Europe's largest open-air lakeside stages and its summer festival (Seefestspiele Mörbisch). However, it is also renowned for its excellent wine production and its charming streets with a unique atmosphere.

The Hofgasse, connecting two parallel streets, is lined with long, narrow courtyards flanked by buildings on both sides. These streets and courtyards contribute to the distinctive charm of Mörbisch, located within the UNESCO World Heritage Site area. Some of the buildings along this row are of historical significance.

With its cultural heritage and picturesque streets, Fertőmeggyes, the closest settlement on the Austrian side of Lake Neusiedl, offers a full day of exploration and relaxation for the whole family.
