Széchenyi Mansion
Nagycenk
Located near the Austrian border, the Nagycenk Mansion was the residence of Count István Széchenyi, often called "the Greatest Hungarian." This neoclassical masterpiece is not just a museum but a tribute to the man who modernized Hungary. The exhibition guides you through the life of the Széchenyi family and the era of national reforms. After visiting the memorial museum, take a walk in the English garden or along the world-famous, 2.6 km long protected linden tree alley, planted by the Count’s ancestors.
