The Nutcracker by Candlelight

THOUSANDS OF CANDLES, THE ENCHANTING WORLD OF THE NUTCRACKER, AND THE MOST BELOVED CHRISTMAS CLASSICS

We invite you on a magical festive journey, where for one evening we can leave behind the bustle of holiday preparations and immerse ourselves in the true spirit of Christmas.

At the heart of this year's Christmas programme is The Nutcracker. Tchaikovsky’s Overture transports us to a fairy-tale Christmas Eve, where the celebration begins with the joyful sounds of the March. As midnight strikes, the toys come to life and a magical adventure unfolds. The Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy leads us into the Kingdom of Sweets, where the exhilarating Russian Dance and the magnificent Waltz of the Flowers are followed by the breathtaking Pas de Deux, bringing this enchanting story to a dazzling conclusion.

Timeless Christmas favourites evoke the most treasured moments of the season. Pachelbel’s festive Canon captures the warmth of anticipation, Sleigh Ride recalls the playful charm of snowy winter evenings, while Silent Night brings the most heartfelt moments of Christmas to life.

The evening is further enriched by masterpieces of classical music: Mozart’s A Little Night Music with its graceful elegance, Bach’s Air with its serenity and intimacy, Vivaldi’s La Follia with its dazzling virtuosity, and Handel’s Passacaglia with its powerful energy, each adding new colours and emotions to this festive celebration.

Join us as we step into a magical Christmas world illuminated by candlelight for one unforgettable evening.
