Vas-hegy Gloriette

Sopron

Near the Vas-hegy Gloriette, there is a lookout point on the hillside offering exceptional views of the city of Sopron's Felsőlövérek district.

In the Sopron Mountains, lookout points are commonly referred to as "páholyok," providing comfortable vantage points to admire beautiful aspects of the surrounding landscape. One such location is situated on the eastern side of Vas-hegy, atop a steep cliff protected by a railing. From this páholy, visitors can overlook the city, albeit with some limitations, yet still able to identify the towers of Sopron's old town, with the waters of Lake Fertő visible beyond them.

Below the páholy, at the base of the glittering rock face, is a shooting range used by the Sopron Lövér Archery Club.
